I'm Updating to iOS 10 ASAP! Will You? Take the Poll

Today is the day! iOS 10 is finally available to the public. Sure, I could've signed up for the beta testing program, but I prefer the sheer surprise of a new iOS operating system and all that goes along with the brand new software. By default, as a tech journalist, it's hard to totally block out all news of a new update, but when it come to iOS upgrades, I do my best to do so. For me the experience of a new iOS is akin to the sensation a child experiences on Christmas when they open their gifts, and who doesn't love a surprise come Christmas morning? Will you update your iPhone or iPad to iOS 10? Take the poll at the end of the post and let us know!

I've been hearing about all the awesome features of iOS 10 for months now, ever since Apple introduced it on the world stage at WWDC 2016. I even reported on iOS 10 when it was first introduced, and since then I've done my best to forget about it, even turning away friends who are beta testers when they excitedly tried to show me the cool new features of iOS 10 in action. Truth be told, I find myself far more excited for the release of iOS 10 than I am for the release of the iPhone 7.

With the release of iOS 10 Apple effectively gets its mojo back. After what many  considered a lackluster unveiling of the iPhone 7 Apple will greatly benefit from this fresh and reinvigorated operating system. Of course the fact that Samsung's Note 7 smartphones have been exploding and have had a massive factory recall won't hurt the IPhone 7's sales figures either, considering the Note 7 was Apple's principal competition this fall and holiday season.

iOS 10 promises to make older generation iPhones and iPads feel like new devices and I'd reckon that its long list of new features will be sure to impress even the most jaded of iDevice users. I'm looking forward to finally getting my hands on this software and experiencing for myself all of the exciting changes. In my estimation, this is the most significant innovation Apple has delivered this year and like millions of other iOS users, I'll be downloading iOS 10 as soon as it becomes available. How about you? Will you be upgrading to iOS 10 right away? We'd love to hear your feedback; did the iOS download go smoothly? How do you like the new software experience on your device? Let us know in the comments below.
