How to Find Missing Apps on iPhone

Have you ever lost an app on your iPad or iPhone? It's easier to do than you might think. Maybe you stuck it in a folder in an effort to declutter your Home screen, or even deleted it in an effort to create space for the latest iOS update, and then forgot. How to Find Missing Apps on iPhone

The best way to find a missing app is to search your device using the Spotlight search feature, which lets you search everything on your iPhone or iPad from your apps to your email, to the web, to iTunes and the App Store.

  • To activate Spotlight, swipe down from the center of the Home screen.
  • Type the name of the missing app in the search field. Spotlight will present you with a list of search results. The app should be among the top results. Tap to open it.

  • If the app appears under the heading App Store, it means the app is no longer on your device. But if you tap View, you’ll be redirected to the App Store, where you can simply tap the cloud icon to download it again.
