WatchOS 4 for Apple Watch added a lot of quality features to the smartwatch, including new watch faces. My personal favorite addition is the new Kaleidoscope watch face that uses either a built-in photo or a photo of your choice to create a colorful image in one of three different styles. We’ll go over how to use the Kaleidoscope watch face and how to create your own Kaleidoscope Apple Watch face on iPhone.

The app store looks very different in iOS 11. Not only are many of the tabs at the bottom different, but also Apple has added new features to the App Store that weren’t there before. The App Store has full articles on how to play certain games, interviews with the developers of a popular app, a featured App of the Day, and more. In a lot of ways, it’s much easier to find and discover apps in the new App Store. But it may take some getting used to. Here’s a quick tour of the new App Store with iOS 11 on iPhone.
Are you someone who finds themselves poring back through their deleted emails, searching for that 20% off promo code you thought you weren't going to use? If you think you might want an extra step of precaution before emails are permanently deleted from your trash folder, consider turning on the Mail app's Ask Before Deleting feature.
Ready to watch MLB and the World Series online? We’ve got four different ways you can make that happen. If you’re watching the World Series on Apple TV, we’ll also cover options that will allow you to do so. It’s unlikely you’ll find a way to watch the World Series online for free (legally, at least), but there’s a few different subscriptions you can sign up for that will allow you to watch MLB and the World Series online and without cable. For cable subscribers, we’ll cover how you can watch the World Series on Apple TV with the Fox Sports Go app. But the rest of our options will be focused on watching MLB and the World Series online and on your devices, including iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. Let’s go.
Some of iPhone Life's most popular articles have been about saving battery life on the iPhone, which just goes to show how much room Apple still has to improve when it comes to battery life. WatchOS 4 was probably the best Apple Watch software update we’d ever seen, especially for those who workout with their Apple Watch. In this update, not only did Apple add new workouts like HIIT, it also added the ability to quickly and easily swipe over to music from within the Workout app on Apple Watch. Now you don’t need to change apps and fumble around mid workout just to change the song. Here’s how to easily access music while working out with your Apple Watch.

For certain locations of malls and airports, Apple actually has indoor maps you can view directly from the Maps app. I love this feature because it allows me to figure out where I am without having to find a directory or physical map somewhere inside the location.
In Apple's native Notes app for iPhone and iPad, you can designate a note to always appear at the top of your list under the Pinned tab. This is helpful if there’s a note you consistently refer to, such as the one you use for grocery shopping every week. You can also pin multiple notes to the top of your list. Here’s how to pin a note to the top of your Notes list on the iPhone.

The Apple Watch includes lots of various options for customizing your Apple Watch face. Most of those options appear as some variation of a traditional watch face. But you can also choose to use one of your own photos, or even a Live photo, as your watch face on Apple Watch. Here’s how to create a customized Apple Watch face from your photos on your iPhone.

Stranger Things was a surprise hit upon its release on Netflix in July 2016. This 1980s-inspired science fiction-horror series featured eight episodes last year, and returns with nine episodes on October 27. Stranger Things Season 2 will be available exclusively on Netflix, which means you need to be subscribed to Netflix. With a Netflix subscription you’ll be able to watch Stranger Things Season 2 online through your iPhone, iPad, Macbook, or other app-enabled device. You can also stream the show through your Apple TV or smart TV when Season 2 premiers on October 27.

This is a favorite tip of mine for the iPhone. You can shoot video and take a still photo while you’re recording. There have been many times when I wanted to capture a quick still shot from Video mode while already recording. Luckily, doing so on an iPhone is super easy.
If you enjoy handwriting notes on your device, it’s essential to be able to find what you’re looking for within those notes later on. Previous iterations of the Notes app only allowed you to search for words that were typed. But with iOS 11, the Notes app is capable of searching through your handwritten notes as well. Here’s how to search handwritten words in Notes with iOS 11 on iPhone or iPad.
