How to Take a Still Photo While Shooting Video on an iPhone

This is a favorite tip of mine for the iPhone. You can shoot video and take a still photo while you’re recording. There have been many times when I was shooting video and wanted to take a quick snapshot. Luckily, doing so on an iPhone is super easy. Here’s how to take a still photo while shooting video on your iPhone.

How to Take a Still Photo While Shooting Video

  1. Open the Camera app and swipe over to Video.
  2. Tap the red button at the center to start recording video.
  3. To take a still photo while you’re recording, tap the white button located in the bottom left corner of the screen.


     
  4. The photo will automatically save to your Photos app.
