I can’t say enough good things about the new line of iPhone cases and case accessories and mounts from Hitcase. They have truly raised the bar when it comes to creating rugged, durable, waterproof cases, which in and of itself would be noteworthy. However, Hitcase has taken things a step further by crafting an extensive lineup of custom-made accessories that perfectly fit its iPhone cases. These accessories include a selection of top-quality photo lenses, as well as a selfie stick, a chest mount, and a handlebar mount, to name a few.
These days we have a plethora of options when it comes to finding a Qi wireless charger that best suits our needs. While these convenient charging pads have many similarities, no two are the same. In fact, one of the biggest differences I find between charging pads, aside from obvious variances in style and appearance, would have to be the charging wattage that they deliver and therefore how fast they charge. In my testing I found that all of these Qi chargers work well even with iPhones in rugged protective cases.

Call me a geek, but arguably my favorite portion of today's 2018 WWDC Keynote presentation was the hilarious mockumentary, titled The Developer Migration, featuring Apple developers. Shout out to my old friends, blogger and analyst Jim Dalrymple and Vainglory developer Tommy Krul for their surprise cameos in the short, introductory hilarity. After the brief, pre-show levity, Apple got right down to business. The highlights of this year’s WWDC were undoubtedly a peek at what we can expect to see in upcoming versions of Apple’s new operating systems, to be released to the public later this year. Apple gets an A from me this year on its Keynote presentation. Here are some of my thoughts on the company's newest software:
It's that time of year again, when families want to travel and adventure together, school children and college kids are all out for the summer, and warm weather beckons everyone to the waterside for good times. It’s also the time when your chances of damaging your iPhone increase; whether from dropping your device in the water or from something happening to it while you're out and about on miscellaneous summertime escapades. To better protect your precious devices this summer, a heavy-duty, rugged iPhone case can most definitely be an asset. All of the cases included in this roundup provide superior protection for your iPhone, year round, with varying levels of insulation from dust, snow, mud, impact and water intrusion. Which one you decide to go with will depend on personal taste and how you intend to use your iPhone. Worth mentioning: Along with providing exceptional protection for your iPhone, all of these cases allow Qi wireless charging. Also worth mentioning, unless otherwise specified, all of the cases featured here that are compatible with the iPhone 8 or 8 Plus will be compatible with the older iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

By Dig Om
I make no claims of being an amazing guitarist; I wouldn't even say I’m all that good. That said, I’ve enjoyed playing guitar for 20 years and I love it with all my heart. I find it to be both a creative outlet and a valuable form of relaxation and meditation. Back when I began my guitar playing journey, learning required paper books and teachers; nowadays, a few good apps can go a long way toward helping you learn and grow as a musician. The following are a few of my favorite, most indispensable iOS apps for guitar players.
Op-Ed: I Finally Upgraded from an iPhone 6 Plus to an 8 Plus; Here's What Surprised Me Most
By Dig Om
I’ve been a loyal Apple user for decades. I’ve also been an iPhone 6 Plus user since 2014 when the device was first released, with its large 5.5-inch, high-resolution screen, its dual FaceTime-capable cameras, its more powerful battery, and so on. The iPhone 6 Plus served me extremely well, so much so that I had little interest in changing iPhones. Recently though, I upgraded to the brand new iPhone 8 Plus; and if there’s one thing that has surprised me most about Apple’s newest model iPhone, it's just how little I’m impressed by it.
The solar-powered Rock Out 2 ($99.95) from Goal Zero is the flagship Bluetooth speaker from a company perhaps better known around the world for providing sustainable and efficient energy options to both intrepid adventurers and also to many impoverished people living without reliable or clean energy sources.
The Polk MagniFi Mini ($299.95) is a robust yet minimalist, two-piece sound system that works via several connectivity methods, including both Bluetooth and a 3.5mm input. Don’t let its small size fool you; the MagniFi Mini can keep pace with soundbar systems almost twice its size, and its diminutive size allows you to place it either discreetly or prominently in any room. The Polk MagniFi Mini is one of the best soundbars you can get for the money.
