Take screenshots with iPhone 2.0

The recently-released iPhone 2.0 OS allows
iPhone users to capture screen images and save them in the Photo application. Say, for example, that you want to capture a screen image of a new game you just downloaded from the App Store. Do the following:

  1. Open the game to the screen you want to capture.
  2. Hold down the Home button located below the display.
  3. Press the Sleep/Wake (on/off) button once.

The screen will turn white and then fade back immediately. To look at the captured image, open the Photos application. To e-mail the image to a friend, open it in Photos and tap on the Send icon in the lower left corner of the screen. To transfer them to your Mac or PC, use the instructions in the previous tip.
