How to Create Slideshow in Photos

This tip was performed on an iPhone running iOS 18.3, but will work on iPad as well. Learn how to update to iOS 18 and update to iPadOS 18.
You can make a slideshow from any album in the Photos app. You could create a slideshow of your entire Photo library if you wanted to. If you like learning tips about your Apple devices, be sure to sign up for our free Tip of the Day! Here's how to make a slideshow in photos.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Photos.
- Scroll to the Collection or Album you'd like to turn into a slideshow and tap on it.
- Tap Movie at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap the More icon in the top right of the screen for slideshow options.
- Tap Edit Movie Timeline to add, remove, and rearrange pictures.
- Tap the back arrow on the top left of your screen to save your changes.
- Tap Edit Movie Title to change the title and select the date range you want to include. You can also edit the photos included from here.
- Tap Done when you're happy with your changes.
- Tap the Music icon for more customization options.
- Tap the Music icon to choose your music and the Photographic Styles icon to browse Memory Looks. Tap the photo onscreen to exit.
- Tap the More icon again and tap Share Movie to save or share the slideshow.
- If you have chosen a soundtrack that cannot be shared, tap Choose Shareable Soundtrack.
- Select the new track of choice and then tap Done.
- Save or share your slideshow as desired.
- You can also select AirPlay Movie from the More menu to AirPlay your slideshow.
