After you delete photos on iPhone, you can still find them in the Recently Deleted section of the Photos app. The Recently Deleted section contains all your deleted photos and videos, and each item shows the days remaining before deletion (30 days). When this time is up, items are permanently deleted, and you can’t recover them. Before the 30-day limit is over, you can recover the photo or permanently delete it. Here's how to find deleted photos on iPhone, then recover or permanently delete them.
- Open the Photos app.
- Tap the Albums tab, scroll down, and tap Recently Deleted.
- Tap Select to choose the photos you want to recover.
- Tap Delete All or Recover All to permanently delete or recover everything in the Recently Deleted album.
- If you only want to recover or permanently delete a few photos, tap the photos and videos you want to get back, then tap Recover or Delete.
- Confirm the recovery or deletion.
