As you may be able to tell from the app's title, this app allows you to sync with Facebook. This way you can use the app to import contacts from social network's friends list you have. However, this isn't the only integration with the social service the app offers. You can sort your friends -- who you imported into ContactsXL 3 from Facebook -- based on any contact information they made available on their Facebook profiles. This allows for much more customization and personalization of your contacts. What is great is that their birthdays will be imported through syncing so you don't have to worry about missing a friend's birthday again.
If you're one or those people who has such a long contact list you mix people's names up or forget who they are, this app is also for you. It has a feature called "Coverflow" that allows you to browse contacts by their photos. As the app sync's to your Facebook profile, photos will also be imported from your friends list along with the contacts.
The ability to separate contacts into groups is another major advantage of this app. You can send a text message or an e-mail to these multiple contacts with a single click. Not many other apps exist on the App Store like this.
An interesting feature that was added with the last update to the app us called the "Smart T9 Dialer." if you know part of a contacts number, but don't remember the whole thing, the T9 Dialer will help you fill in the number for you (as you dial that contact progressively). This service is also useful if you have a huge contact list and don't want to spend your time browsing and searching for specific contacts.
Check out ContactsXL 3 + Sync With Facebook on the App Store for $.99. The app offers a lot of integration with Facebook as well as great reasons to dump the current 'Contacts' app and use this one. It will certainly save you time from having to add each of your Facebook friends individually without sync to the standard app.
