How to Cancel Recurring In-App Subscriptions on Your iPhone

Have you ever subscribed to a service through an app and then been utterly stumped about how to cancel the subscription on your iPhone? Canceling automatically renewing in-app subscriptions almost seems like a hidden feature on your iPhone. If you do a Google search, you’ll see lots of articles on how to manage iTunes subscriptions on the iTunes website, but who want to connect their phone to their computer just for this? Luckily, there are two ways to manage iTunes subscriptions straight from your iPhone, in the App Store app and in the Settings app. Once you know where to find them, you can cancel and stop iTunes subscription payments directly from your iPhone. Here’s how to manage your iTunes account and cancel iTunes subscriptions on your iPhone.

  • Open the App Store app and tap on your profile in the upper right corner.

  • Tap Manage Subscriptions and you'll be shown your current and expired app subscriptions.
  • Tap the app you want to manage or cancel.
  • Select from the subscription options (they'll vary for each subscription), then confirm your changes.

You can also access your app subscriptions via Settings. Here's how:

  • Open Settings and scroll down to tap iTunes & App Store.

  • Tap on your Apple ID at the top.
  • Then tap View Apple ID on the menu that pops up.

  • You may be asked to sign in.
  • After signing in, tap Manage.
  • This will open the iTunes website, and you may be asked to sign in again.
  • From the iTunes website, you'll be able to manage your iTunes account.

  • To cancel apps from your iPhone, tap Subscriptions.
  • You'll see a list of active and expired app subscriptions.

  • Tap the app you want to cancel.
  • Then tap the cancellation option and confirm.

And that's how you can manage your iTunes account and app subscriptions from your iPhone!
