How to Sort iPhone Notes Checklists Automatically

When using a checklist in the Notes app, it can be much easier to have things sort automatically instead of manually.   1. Open the Settings app.

    Open Settings
     
  2. Scroll down and tap Notes.


     
  3. Scroll down and tap Sort Checked Items.

    Scroll down and tap on Sort Checked Items. This will allow sorting by checklist box.
     
  4. Tap Automatically to enable automatic sorting of completed checklist items.

    Tap to sort checked items Automatically. Now your checklist notepad in the Notes app will move checked items to the bottom.

Now your Notes app checklists will be much easier to navigate. If you ever need to switch back to sorting things by hand, simply follow the above steps again and select Manually instead of Automatically.
