How to Create a New Apple ID on Your iPhone (Updated 2019)

How to Create a New Apple ID on the iPhone

If you want to buy apps in the App Store, sign up for Apple Music or an iTunes account, or use iCloud, iMessage, or FaceTime, you'll need your own Apple ID first. Before you create an Apple ID, be sure that you don't already have one that you've forgotten the password for. It's much better to find your old login information than to start from scratch; follow this tip to reset your forgotten Apple ID. Similarly, if you want to change the email address associated with your Apple ID, you don't need to start an entirely new Apple ID.   • Open the Settings app.
  • Tap on Sign in to your iPhone at the top of the screen.

  • Now tap Create Apple ID.

  • Enter your birthday, then tap next at the upper right of the display.
  • Now enter your name and tap next again.

  • Enter your email address, then click Next.

  • Now create an eight-character password and click Next. Your password will have to include at least one uppercase letter and at least one numeral to be accepted.
  • You'll receive a text or call to confirm your identity, tap Continue.

  • Enter your iPhone's Passcode, if it has one.
