This Tuesday, May 5, Apple reached a $250 million settlement in a lawsuit filed over the delayed launch of Siri’s AI. The suit alleges that Apple misled consumers about its AI capabilities, inducing them to buy iPhone 15 and 16 models based on false promises. As part of the settlement, Apple declines to admit any wrongdoing and says that it has released dozens of Apple Intelligence features since the platform’s launch. We’re still expecting to see a new and improved Siri, featuring Gemini, launch at WWDC this year. In the meantime, if you’re eligible to receive a settlement of up to $95 per device purchased, you’ll be notified by email or snail mail. Keep an eye on those inboxes!
