How to Schedule a FaceTime Calendar Invite

FaceTime's getting a makeover in iOS 15, and one change that adds some Zoom-like capabilities to FaceTime is the ability to schedule a FaceTime call and invite your friends with the Calendar app. Let's learn how to schedule a FaceTime meeting.

How to Schedule a FaceTime Call in Calendar App in iOS 15

Important: If you have not yet updated to iOS 15, you'll need to do so before this tip will work. To learn more about other new iOS 15 features, follow our Tip of the Day newsletter. Here's how to schedule a FaceTime call with Calendar on iPhone.

  1. Open the Calendar app.

    Open Calendar app
     
  2. Tap the + icon in the upper-right corner.

    Add event
     
  3. Enter a title for your FaceTime call.

  4. Tap on the date to change it, if needed.

  5. Select the date for your FaceTime call.

  6. Tap on the time to change it, if needed.

  7. Scroll through the numbers shown to select your start time.

  8. Tap on Location or Video Call.

  9. Tap on FaceTime.

    Tap FaceTime
     
  10. Tap Add to add the event to your Calendar. You can also customize any other settings as needed before you add the event.

  11. To share, tap the date your FaceTime is scheduled for.

    Tap date
     
  12. Select the event you just scheduled.

    Select FaceTime event
     
  13. Tap the Share icon.

    Tap Share icon
     
  14. Select how you want to share and whom you’d like to share it with.

    Select contacts
     
  15. Tap the send arrow to send the invite.
