Fixed: Not Getting Text Notifications on iPhone

If your iPhone has suddenly or randomly stopped getting text notifications, it may be due to a setting that accidentally changed. We'll go over all the reasons why you may not be getting text notifications on your iPhone.

Update Settings for iPhone Text Notifications Not Working

Sometimes, settings can get accidentally changed or altered, which can change the way your iPhone receives text messages. Try adjusting or checking these settings to see if that is why you are not getting text notifications. Notification Settings 

  1. On your iPhone, go to Settings, tap Notifications, and then tap Messages.

  3. Make sure Lock Screen, Notification Center, and Banners are checked.

  4. Check that you have a Sound selected.

Other Settings

  1. Check to make sure your contact is not muted.
