How to Share a List in Reminders on Your iPhone

* This post is part of iPhone Life's Tip of the Day newsletter. . *

One of my favorite features of the Reminders app is the ability to share lists over iCloud. Sharing lists in the Reminders app includes great features like the ability to add and remove members from a shared list, and even to remind list members to accomplish tasks when they're at the correct location to do so. Once you get the hang of using Reminders to share your lists, you may just wonder what you ever did without this feature. Let's learn how to use the Reminders app on your iPhone to share lists.

Note: Only the owner of the list can add and subtract people from the shared Reminders list.

  1. Open the Reminders app.
  2. Make a new list or open a list you've already made.

  3. Tap Edit.
  4. Then tap Sharing.

  5. Tap Add person.
  6. You'll see a field where you can type in a person's iCloud email account, other email address, or even their name. Tap the plus sign to add multiple people.

  7. When you're done, tap Add to go back.
  8. Then tap Done.

  9. This will bring you back to the list, where you can tap Done to close out Sharing.
  10. The people you've invited to your list will need to accept the invitation to collaborate on your Reminder with you; until then it will say Pending under their name.

Now you can share lists via the Reminders app!
