How to Print from Google Docs from iPhone & iPad—Quick & Easy

If you need a physical copy of a Google Doc, printing from an iPhone or iPad is a great solution. Here are step-by-step instructions for how to print Google Docs, and what to do if your document won't print. Check out our free Tip of the Day for more great iCloud tutorials. 

Note: To print from your iPhone or iPad, your printer must be AirPrint and Google Cloud Print compatible, have wireless printing turned on, and be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone or iPad.

  1. If you haven't already, download the Google Docs app from the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.

  2. Open the Google Docs app.

  3. Find the Google Doc you want to print, then tap the more icon (three dots to the right of the title).

  4. Scroll down the menu and tap Print.

  5. If your Google Doc needs to download, you'll see a Preparing to print notification.

  6. Now you can select your printer, the number of copies you'd like to make, which pages you want to copy, and more, then tap Print
