The Quickest Way to Crop Pictures on iPhone

Sometimes you get the perfect shot on your iPhone, but you'd like to crop the photo so the focus is on the main subject. If you're wondering how to crop a picture on iPhone, there's a quick and easy way to accomplish this without adjusting the crop box manually.

To begin, take a new picture or choose an older photo from your camera roll that you'd like to crop. For this exercise, I'll use a photo of my beautiful dog, Willow.

  • Tap the photo to bring up your sharing and editing options; tap Edit in the upper right-hand corner.
  • Tap on the crop and rotate icon.

  • Tap the crop icon on the right.
  • Now choose which of the pre-set sizes you'll use to crop your picture.

Once you've chosen the cropping size, you can go back and try different ones. When you're finished cropping:

  • Tap Done in the bottom-right corner of your display.
  • If you decide you liked your original picture better, simply tap Edit again, then tap Revert to undo the cropping and return to the original photo.
