How to Move an Event from One Calendar to Another

In the Calendar app, it’s helpful to have multiple calendars for different areas of life. You might have a personal reminders calendar, one for work, one for home, one for family, etc. Each calendar is also color coded to make telling them apart easier; you can also view individual calendars. What happens, though, when you accidentally place an event in the wrong calendar? Easy, simply follow these steps to move it to a different one.

To do this, open your Calendar app and locate the event you want to move. For our example, I’ll be moving my event: Lunch w/ Peggy. Tap the event. As you can see, this event is currently located in my Work calendar. Here, you have two options: tap Calendar located directly under the Event, or tap Edit at the top of the page.

Then, select Calendar and choose the calendar you’d prefer the event be in. Then tap Done.

That’s all there is to it!
