How to Make Folders for Photo Albums on iPhone in the Photos App

Create custom folders in the Photos app to sort your albums and photo folders.

Are you wondering how to organize photos on your iPhone? You can make a folder to hold multiple photo albums and other folders! Unfortunately, you can't move already existing photo albums into an album folder you create; hopefully, that feature will be added in a future operating system. Let's go over how to add a folder to the Photos app on your iPhone.

  1. Open the Photos app.

  2. Tap the Albums tab, then tap the plus icon.

  3. Tap New Folder.

  4. Name your new folder and tap Save.

  5. Tap the folder to open it.

  6. Tap Edit, then tap the plus icons.

  7. Tap New Album or New Folder

  8. Tap the photos you want to include in your album, then tap Done.
