How to Turn Off NameDrop
Are you about to go out and don't want unwanted NameDrop notifications popping up on your iPhone all night? Here's how to disable NameDrop. Don't worry; you can reverse the steps to turn NameDrop back on when you need it.
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap General.
- Tap AirDrop.
- Toggle off Bringing Devices Together.
How To Set NameDrop To Receive Only
You can't permanently set NameDrop to Receive Only at this time; you have to decline invites or set them to Receive Only on a case-by-case basis. Here's how:
When you receive a NameDrop invitation, you'll see the options to share your contact card and receive the other person’s, or just receive the other person’s.
If you tap Receive Only, you'll get the Contact Card of the other person, so you can get back to them at your leisure.
