How to Quickly Lock a Note with iOS 11 on iPhone

Before iOS 11, the only way to lock a note in the Notes app was to tap the Share icon and select Lock Note. But with iOS 11, you can quickly and easily lock any note by just swiping on it. This shortcut means you don’t even need to open a note to lock it, and it makes the whole process a lot smoother. Here’s how to quickly lock a note with iOS 11 on iPhone.

How to Quickly Lock a Note

  • Open the Notes app and view your list of notes.
  • To lock one, swipe left on it.
  • Tap the lock icon to lock that note.

  • You’ll need to use Touch ID or Face ID to confirm it’s you. A lock will then be added to the note.
  • You can also swipe left to remove a lock from a note in the same way.
