How to Access Camera from Lock Screen in iOS 10

iPhone camera access on Lock screen is incredibly easy to do with iOS 10. Before iOS 10, a small camera icon resided in the lower right corner of the Lock screen that allowed you to bring up the Camera. But now you’re only a swipe away from the Camera on Lock screen. Here’s how to access Camera from Lock screen in iOS 10.

To use the Lock screen camera shortcut:

  • Raise to wake your iPhone or tap the Home or Sleep/Wake button.
  • From Lock screen, swipe left.
  • Camera will open.

That’s it! Incredibly easy, eh? You can tell the Camera is just a swipe away when you look at the bottom of your Lock screen. You’ll see two dots and a tiny camera icon. The first dot represents your Widgets screen in iOS 10, the second dot is the main screen with the time and your wallpaper, and the third screen is, of course, the camera.
