With watchOS 3.2, you can finally put your Apple Watch in Theater Mode. Perfect for when you’re at the movies, as the name implies, Theater Mode keeps the display screen of your Apple Watch turned off, unless you tap to wake it up or press a button on the device. Personally, I would also find this helpful on long drives. I love using my watch for navigation, but the screen lighting up, especially when driving at night, caused me to stop using the feature. Whatever the reason you might like to use it, here’s how to enable and disable Theater Mode on an Apple Watch running watchOS 3.2 or later.

How to Use Theater Mode on Apple Watch
- Swipe up to access Control Center.
- Scroll down and select the Theater Mode icon, which looks like the classic theater masks, one happy and one sad.

Tap Theater Mode.
It’s on! When you’re ready to turn theater mode off, simply swipe up to access Control Center again and tap the same icon.
