How to Force Close an App on the Apple Watch

  1. Here's what to do if an Apple Watch app (in this case, the Activity app) freezes, won't respond to the usual gestures, or otherwise malfunctions.


     
  2. Press and hold the Side button.


     
  3. When the Power Off Slider appears, release the Side button.


     
  4. Now, press and hold Digital Crown until the app closes.


     
  5. You will be returned to the main app screen where you can tap the app to re-open it.
