  1. Click the date and time in the upper-right corner. On macOS 10.15 Catalina or earlier, click the icon in top-right corner of the menu bar.

Check Mac Notification Center Using a Keyboard Shortcut

Keyboard shortcuts let you quickly access certain functions of your Mac. You can set a custom keyboard shortcut to check the Notification Center, too! Here's how.

  1. Click on the Apple menu in the top-left corner, then select System Preferences.

  4. Select Mission Control in the left-hand menu.
  5. Click the check box next to Show Notification Center.
