How to Send a Friend Request in Game Center

Game Center is the main hub for iOS gaming, keeping score, and challenging friends. When playing multiplayer games, you can Auto-Match with a random person, or invite your friends to play. In order to play with your friends from real life, you need to add them to your list of friends in Game Center. Here’s how to send a friend request in Game Center.

Open Game Center. Tap Requests or Friends.

Tap the + sign in the upper right corner. You can enter your friend’s email address associated with their Apple ID or their Game Center nickname, or you can browse your contacts. Tap the plus sign within a circle to browse your contacts. You can also tap any player you see anywhere in Game Center to send a request. Tap Send. Once they accept, they’ll appear in your list of friends.

If you have an iPhone 6s or 6s Plus, you can also 3D Touch the Game Center app icon to quickly access Send Friend Request.
