Flashlight Missing from Control Center in iOS 11 on iPhone? How to Get It Back

Control Center on iPhone got some major improvements with iOS 11. iPhone users have been asking for the ability to customize Control Center for a while now, and we finally got it! Though convenient once you get the hang of it, iOS 11 updates for iPhone can be confusing at first. If you opened Control Center and found the flashlight was gone, no need to panic, it’s still available! Now that you can customize Control Center on iPhone, you can choose what functions are important for you. If you’ve been wondering where favorite iPhone functions like the flashlight disappeared to, here’s the best way to get them back.

How to Get Flashlight Back on iPhone with iOS 11

Don’t worry—the flashlight on iPhone isn’t gone. It’s just hiding from your view. We need to customize your Control Center to get it back. To get the flashlight back in Control Center:

  • Open Settings.
  • Select Control Center.
  • Tap Customize Controls.

  • The first list contains all the functions currently accessible from Control Center.
  • Scroll down to the second list.
  • Find Flashlight; tap the green + sign to add flashlight to Control Center.

  • Once you’ve done so, open Control Center and you’ll see the little flashlight icon again.

iPhone Flashlight is Back!

Now that your iPhone flashlight is back, use this tip to recover any other Control Center functions you’re used to that seem to be missing. And on a final flashlight note, iOS 11 includes a long touch feature for flashlight; keep touching the flashlight icon and an option appears to adjust the brightness of your flashlight!
