
Did you know that you can share your real-time location with friends and family right from the Google Maps app on your iPhone? We've already covered how to share and save locations from Apple Maps, but you can also send your location from the Google Maps app, so there's no confusion about meet-up spots when you're out and about. - Open the Google Maps app and make sure you're signed in; look in the upper-right corner for your profile picture or initial.
- Tap the Menu (hamburger) icon, then tap Location Sharing.
- Tap Get Started at the bottom of the page.
- Next, you'll choose the amount of time to share your location, from one hour on up, or even the option to leave location sharing on until you choose to manually turn the feature off.
- After you've chosen how long to leave location sharing on, tap Select People.
- Type a name, phone number, or email address into the To field, or choose from the list of options below.
- Once you've chosen one or more people to share your location with, tap Share.
That's it! Now the people you've chosen will know where to find you for the amount of time you've specified.
