The iBible: Does an Increase in Bible App Sales Imply a Shift in Demographics?

According to the Atlantic Monthly, on Monday, a bible app cracked the top 10 highest grossing iPad book apps of all time. The NIV Bible Reader is currently getting 3,000 downloads a day.  The app is also ranked number 2 on the iPhone just behind Green Eggs and Ham.

iPhone 4 Coming to T-Mobile?

According to Cult of Mac, T-Mobile is very close to finalizing a deal with Apple that would allow them to sell the iPhone starting this fall. The article quotes  a  "highly placed source" inside T-Mobile who claims that talks between the two companies are in the advanced stages and says there is an 80 percent chance that T-Mobile will start selling the iPhone 4 in the 3rd Quarter of this year.

Video Zoom Plus -- app lets you zoom in when shooting videos with your phone

I haven't yet tried this app, but Video Zoom Plus ($0.99) would have come in handy a couple days ago when I came across a deer on campus. The deer was fairly close, maybe 20 yards, but it got a bit lost in the video that I took. I wish I had been able to zoom in. And that's what this new app promises -- 5x digital zoom. But if you have a 3GS you'll need to upgrade it to iOS4.

YouTube Abandoning the iPhone Ship?

In an article in the upcoming issue of iPhone Life magazine, the author discusses the decision developers have to make as to whether their app should be native to the iPhone or Web-based.  It seems there are definite advantages to having a Web app since it becomes global rather than specific to a platform. Well, it seems YouTube has made the decision to go global.

iPhone Reception Case -- "world's thinnist iPhone 4 case" said to help with reception problems

Okay, it's official. iPhone 4 has reception problems. Now that I've been using the phone for a number of days I can tell you that at home, where I have very weak reception, the signal drops every single time I touch the lower left corner of the phone. You learn quickly the best way to hold it. Ivyskin has just released their new iPhone 4 Reception Case made of polycarbonate that they say is the world's thinnest iPhone 4 case.

Reception problem with iPhone 4? Not really, says Apple. It's a mistake with the signal bars

Amidst class-action lawsuits over a faulty antenna, Apple said today that iPhone 4 users aren't really seeing a dramatic drop in signal strength when their hand covers the lower left corner of their phone. Instead, Apple now says that they made a mistake in their formula to calculate signal strength and the bars are overstating the strength — thereby leading to what appears to be a sharp drop.

App Store now has special section on "Awesome iOS4 Apps"

As you likely know, all iPhone apps must be tweaked in order to take advantage of some of the new features of iOS4, such as multitasking and the high-resolution display of iPhone 4. Now Apple has gathered some of the best apps for iOS4 in a special area of the site titled Awesome iOS4 Apps. At present there's not an obvious way to navigate to this selection of nearly 60 apps other than its appearance in the scrolling marquee at the top of the page.

Everything iPhone - Apps, Accessories, Reviews, Wallpapers etc | iPhone Life Magazine

The iPhone has become a benchmark for all other smartphones to compete with.  Reviews on the cases, accessories, apps, wallpapers and more are located below.  Here are a couple of Articles that showcase what we have to offer.  For eaxample, iPhone 4S by Alex Cequea (iPhone Life Magazine Editor in Chief).

In that article, Alex says that the iPhone 4S has the exact same physical form factor as the iPhone 4. However, the insides are a whole different story, and Apple tried to make that very clear. The most notable improvements are the 8MP camera with 1080p video recording, the A5 dual-core processor (same as the iPad 2), and an improved battery life (8 hours of 3G talk time, 200 hours of standby). As far as the capabilities, the new Siri Assistant feature was the highlight of the show. The Siri Assistant recognizes natural language and can answer questions such as, "What's the temperature out today?" Combined with the phone's GPS, you can say something like, "Remind me to call my wife when I get to work." The Assistant will not only know who your "wife" is, it'll also know where "work" is and pop up a reminder to "call Marcy" when you get there."

Here's another great article, The Best iPhone 4 Cases. This article goes on to explain that like its iPhone predecessors, cases have become one of the most popular ways to accessorize your cell phone. Most cell phone consumers buy a case bundled with their new phone to protect it from day one. And who can blame them? Mobile devices have become hugely valuable and expensive items; you want to protect them the best way you can. There are literally hundreds of cases on the market. Let's examine the different options available on the market to help you choose the one that's right for you.

What to know how to create your own app?  "The first step in creating an app is to understand what you want to create and how you will measure its success. Make sure the idea is well vetted and there is a solid business case behind it. There are roughly 600 new apps submitted to Apple each day—what is going to differentiate your app from the thousands that are already available and being launched each week? Here are some questions you’ll want to ask when getting your app idea..."
