I enjoy using my iPad to read the latest news, and I'm excited about the free app Hitpad, which I just learned about. It has a gorgeous interface and, as the press release says, It distills the news about the most important topics of the day. Very similar to Google News, it presents trending topics and aggregates a wide assortment of content related to them: news, videos, tweets, web, and photos. It has trending topics in these categories: Top Stories, Entertainment, Business, Sports, Technology, and U.S. New.
I just finished trying out another set of headphones. The Plattan is a medium sized headphone from URBANEARS. This stylish headset comes packaged in a cardboard box which is accompanied by two cable extensions. These extensions allow compatibility with many devices.

Recently, I've had quite a few friends asking me what to do when their iPhone crashes or locks up in a way that prevents the iPhone from responding to the normal iPhone restart procedure. This happens occasionally with jailbroken iDevices whenever there are cydia app conflicts with the firmware.

Can't vouch for how realistic this is in comparison to assembling a real puzzle, but I like the concept, and never shy from giving indie devs a bit of press. Developed by a programmer from Barcelona, Puzzle Man (now spelled correctly) varies from easy 24 piece jobs up to 300+ challenges. I have downloaded and used multiple news readers in my journey for a perfect match. Many of them are very pleasing on the eye, and do consolidate news well, but they just didn't seem to complete me, if you know what I mean. Zite (free) is a new app that is very close in appearance to Flipboard, but the similarity stops there. Zite will let you customize your news AND learn what you like as you read, so that it delivers more stories that you are interested in, the longer you use it.

On January 27, at a special invitation only event at the San Francisco's Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Steve Jobs announced Apple's new "magical, revolutionary product" -- the iPad. Meant to fill the gap between the laptop and phone, Jobs said it was "way better" than either. Let's take a look at it. Thin, lightweight, and powerfulThe iPad shares many hardware features with the iPhone, including an accelerometer, an orientation sensor to switch from portrait to landscape mode, solid-state memory, and the same 30-pin doc connector. Connectivity is also virtually the same, with wireless 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1 EDR included on all models. iPad runs iPhone apps!The iPad will run a version of iPhone OS, and the new device can run virtually any app developed for the iPhone or iPod touch. Aps developed for the iPhone can run on the iPad in native resolution but is large enough to touch type on. The larger screen not only makes familiar iPhone apps like Calendar, Mail, and Safari look stunning, it also provides screen real estate for more complex elements in the UI. For example, Calendar display a split-sreen view that describes the day's appointments on the left and shows you a color map of used time slots on the right.
