Tickets on Sale Tomorrow for Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference

image

Usually Apple announces its Worldwide Developers Conference ticket sale without warning— and sell out within an hour or so! But today Apple preannounced that tickets will go on sale worldwide beginning at 10 a.m. Pacific time, tomorrow, April 25. This should theoretically give everyone a chance to buy a ticket. I've been to the last two conferences, and it took quick fingers to get my tickets. Now, with advance warning, I hope Apple's servers are up to the task!

Cricket Lowers Price of Plans, Including Two-iPhone Family Plan for $80/month

image

According to a news story on CNET, a new family plan bundle from Cricket gives you service for two iPhones for just $80 per month. Plus, it's also just lowered the cost of its individual plan from $55 to $50 per month. Its basic plans come with unlimited calling, text messages, and 1 gigabyte of full-speed data. Cricket is a no-contract carrier, meaning that you pay the full cost of the phone up front, but then aren't locked into a contract.

YoWindow — New iOS App Lets You Watch the Weather in a Living Landscape!

image

As a formerly certified weather geek, I like to check out new weather apps. I'm usually drawn to ones with more advanced features, but occasionally I find a simple and elegant weather program I have to mention. YoWindow ($0.99) is one such app. It is not a fancy weather app, which can become cluttered with maps and trend graphs. Instead, it gives you a view of upcoming weather in a serene 2D scene you can animate (e.g. forecast conditions) as you swipe. The app also serves to relax you with realistic outside sights and sounds that match the conditions, and even indicate the season.

Alleged Photo of Forthcoming Low-Cost iPhone Leaked

image

A photo of the rear case of the rumored forthcoming low-cost iPhone appeared on Tactus yesterday. There's no way of knowing whether it's the real deal, but it is in line with other rumors. The photo shows a white polycarbonate shell, just as rumors had suggested. It also indicates the phone is both taller and wider than the iPhone 4 or 4S.

Revolutionary Free Email App Mailbox Now Available for Downloading

image

Mailbox, an extraordinary new free app for effectively managing your inbox, is now available for downloading. Previously, you had to put your name on a waiting list, but now anyone can download the app.

The app has generated a huge amount of interest because it completely rethinks the way you can use your iPhone to manage the onslaught of email. You use simple gestures in list view to archive or delete emails, to "snooze" them for later viewing, or file them away in a "list," which is like a folder.

Yet More Evidence that Forthcoming iPad 5 Will Have iPad Mini Form Factor

image

Images keep emerging on the Internet of alleged casings, or moulds for casings, of the next-generation 9.7-inch iPad. All of the evidence continues to suggest it will have narrower bezels on the sides like the iPad mini, allowing the device to be somewhat narrower without reducing screen size. And the evidence also suggests it will be thinner and lighter, possibly due to the implementation of an IGZO display.

Everything iPhone - Apps, Accessories, Reviews, Wallpapers etc | iPhone Life Magazine

The iPhone has become a benchmark for all other smartphones to compete with.  Reviews on the cases, accessories, apps, wallpapers and more are located below.  Here are a couple of Articles that showcase what we have to offer.  For eaxample, iPhone 4S by Alex Cequea (iPhone Life Magazine Editor in Chief).

In that article, Alex says that the iPhone 4S has the exact same physical form factor as the iPhone 4. However, the insides are a whole different story, and Apple tried to make that very clear. The most notable improvements are the 8MP camera with 1080p video recording, the A5 dual-core processor (same as the iPad 2), and an improved battery life (8 hours of 3G talk time, 200 hours of standby). As far as the capabilities, the new Siri Assistant feature was the highlight of the show. The Siri Assistant recognizes natural language and can answer questions such as, "What's the temperature out today?" Combined with the phone's GPS, you can say something like, "Remind me to call my wife when I get to work." The Assistant will not only know who your "wife" is, it'll also know where "work" is and pop up a reminder to "call Marcy" when you get there."

Here's another great article, The Best iPhone 4 Cases. This article goes on to explain that like its iPhone predecessors, cases have become one of the most popular ways to accessorize your cell phone. Most cell phone consumers buy a case bundled with their new phone to protect it from day one. And who can blame them? Mobile devices have become hugely valuable and expensive items; you want to protect them the best way you can. There are literally hundreds of cases on the market. Let's examine the different options available on the market to help you choose the one that's right for you.

What to know how to create your own app?  "The first step in creating an app is to understand what you want to create and how you will measure its success. Make sure the idea is well vetted and there is a solid business case behind it. There are roughly 600 new apps submitted to Apple each day—what is going to differentiate your app from the thousands that are already available and being launched each week? Here are some questions you’ll want to ask when getting your app idea..."
