Angry Birds- I have included the free version of angry bird because I think it is one of the best games played on the iPhone. It's a very addictive game so I would recommend giving it a try on the iPhone. You will enjoy not only the free version but I think you will want to purchase the paid version as well.
Random facts and quirky trivia are some of the best and most fun ways to spend time. If you’ve ever tried to see how you’re connected to Kevin Bacon or riddled your brain to think of that cool, historical fact…then this is the kind of app that’s right up your alley.
However much I think I am a search engine master, I always find myself going down a few different avenues to see ‘what else’ I can find out. The Hyper Facts app intriguingly blends well known resources such as Google, Google Maps (not just for creepy shots of your house), Wikipedia and other resources to cut through the clutter and find the information/trivia/facts (no matter how random) that you are looking for.
The video recorder of the iPhone 3G S can heavily be enhanced. As opposed to the iPhone 4, where the main enhancements are “only” making the field-of-view much wider, the data rate selectable and, with pixel binning, the low-light performance much better (by sacrificing some resolution and speed), the enhancements of the 3G S camera, in addition to the better low-light performance through pixel-binning, are waaaay superior: you can greatly increase the resolution, almost to the level of the iPhone 4 or traditional cameras.
Thanks to Waterfield Designs for sending on over the Keyboard Travel Express for review. The Keyboard Travel Express is an accessory bag to carry your Apple Keyboard, cables, mouse, pad, etc. These bags are designed and made here in the USA, in San Francisco to be exact. This was perfect timing when the bag arrived because I was heading on vacation.
The bag is made of ballistic nylon. It's black and has a stripe of color on one end. The stripe color of mine is Copper.
(Note that this article, as with most of my stuff, shows you not only how the camera can be reconfigured, but also shows you - how you can play back a YouTube video frame-by-frame; - how you can create and upload packages to your Cydia [an alternative to Apple's AppStore] repository and, last but definitely not least, gives you a full source-level explanation of the entire app that I've written to quickly switch between the different iPhone4 camera configurations. No one has released anything similar for the iPhone 4 or the iPhone 3GS [for which I'll also release a very similar utility in a few days] before!)
I like goofy games (I guess because I'm pretty goofy), but games that are interesting, weird or eye-catching, without being overly fancy are often my favs. I know what a highly-skilled team of programmers can do, and am often blown away by the high-end games. I am more impressed when a single programmer or small team create a catchy game. I would say both Bathtime Boogie and Final Antivirus fall in this category.

Remember "ACT!" the database program? Back in the late 1980's and 1990's, DOS and Windows users (like me) relied on it for contact management long before Salesforce.com ever existed. Well, you can thank Mike Muhney, one of the creators of ACT, for that powerful software. Now, Muhney brings a similar set of features to the iPhone world, where such capabilities are even more valuable, in an app called VIPorbit.
When an app like ContactsXL3 + Sync from Jonathon Teboul hits the app store, one tends to wonder why it takes a third-party developer to provide iPhone users with this level of quality and functionality.
ContactsXL 3 + Sync is a contact manager that blows the native app right out of the water. Basically, the point of ContactsXL 3 + Sync is to do everything the native iPhone address book should do, but it doesn’t. It’s also got some added extras you didn’t even know you were missing.
Covered this at CES earlier this year, and now finally the Beacon is available for purchase ($79.99). It's essentially a Bluetooth-IR hotspot for all your entertainment remote control requirements (DVD, TV, STB, etc.). You can read on for the full press release, or go to the vendor website here.
The iPhone has become a benchmark for all other smartphones to compete with. Reviews on the cases, accessories, apps, wallpapers and more are located below. Here are a couple of Articles that showcase what we have to offer. For eaxample, iPhone 4S by Alex Cequea (iPhone Life Magazine Editor in Chief).
In that article, Alex says that the iPhone 4S has the exact same physical form factor as the iPhone 4. However, the insides are a whole different story, and Apple tried to make that very clear. The most notable improvements are the 8MP camera with 1080p video recording, the A5 dual-core processor (same as the iPad 2), and an improved battery life (8 hours of 3G talk time, 200 hours of standby). As far as the capabilities, the new Siri Assistant feature was the highlight of the show. The Siri Assistant recognizes natural language and can answer questions such as, "What's the temperature out today?" Combined with the phone's GPS, you can say something like, "Remind me to call my wife when I get to work." The Assistant will not only know who your "wife" is, it'll also know where "work" is and pop up a reminder to "call Marcy" when you get there."
Here's another great article, The Best iPhone 4 Cases. This article goes on to explain that like its iPhone predecessors, cases have become one of the most popular ways to accessorize your cell phone. Most cell phone consumers buy a case bundled with their new phone to protect it from day one. And who can blame them? Mobile devices have become hugely valuable and expensive items; you want to protect them the best way you can. There are literally hundreds of cases on the market. Let's examine the different options available on the market to help you choose the one that's right for you.
What to know how to create your own app? "The first step in creating an app is to understand what you want to create and how you will measure its success. Make sure the idea is well vetted and there is a solid business case behind it. There are roughly 600 new apps submitted to Apple each day—what is going to differentiate your app from the thousands that are already available and being launched each week? Here are some questions you’ll want to ask when getting your app idea..."
