Review: A Space Shooter For Free by Frima

image

A Space Shooter is simply that – a space shooter.  There’s nothing spectacular about the game play, and honestly not a whole lot original about the story or anything else.  What makes this worth playing, aside from the basic thrill of blowing up everything that stands in your way (which is a formula that’s hard, though not impossible, to mess up), is the game’s personality.  The irreverent hero is amusing, the villains are outlandish, and the A.I. put’s James Cameron’s movie to shame.  Game play wise I can rattle off half a dozen other games that are more fun, but when it comes to sheer atmosphere, A Space Shooter is hard to beat… and the captain would be more than happy to tell you so.

Analyst suggests second week of October for availability of next iPhone

image

CNET has posted a summary of comments today from an analyst who has estimated the arrival of the next iPhone based on the timing imminent release of the final version of the iOS 5 software. He's saying that the units won't likely be available the second week of October. He's also among those suggesting that the form factor won't change.

Defen-G Astro iPhone App Review

image

Do you have the skill needed to defend the Tower of Atia from the attackers? In other words, the world is in your hands and if you can't handle it, then Defen-G Astro [$2.99] probably isn't your cup of tea. Otherwise, even though it's an overused cliche on the App Store, it still proves to be an interesting genre when developers apply their personality to it - take control of the defenders, and defend the all-so powerful tower in this strategic solution to any boring moments.

iPhone App Review: Ninja Flier Pro—Fast-Paced Ninja Fun

image

Ninja Flier Pro hails from FunVidApps, and it promises ninja-paced fun in a tunnel racing title to take your breath away.

It’s not a concept that will take long to become familiar with.  If you’ve played any other tunnel racers, you know what to expect: your character, in this case a slickly animated ninja, rushes headlong down an enclosed passage, dodging obstacles and collecting stuff.  In Ninja Flier Pro, “stuff” is glowing green canisters, which you then cash in later for goodies.  These goodies come mainly in the form of superpowers, which you’ll use against the bad guys cramping your ninja-flying style.  The bad guys are aliens, so you’ll need all the supercharged ninja-fu you can muster.

App Review - iPolygon

image

A logic and action-based puzzler, iPolygon, has recently been released as a universal app on the App Store.

The game has been designed to be played in the portrait orientation mode with the player either relying on swipes or gyroscope controls.  Gameplay revolves around a ricochet mechanic.

The aim of each level is to keep a moving ball inside a structure full of colorful walls while breaking all the walls in each level. This means that  players want to hit the walls and break them, but keep the ball constantly moving; and not fall off the edge of the structures' walls into space. There are also two smaller power-up orbs available that stay stationary.

Everything iPhone - Apps, Accessories, Reviews, Wallpapers etc | iPhone Life Magazine

The iPhone has become a benchmark for all other smartphones to compete with.  Reviews on the cases, accessories, apps, wallpapers and more are located below.  Here are a couple of Articles that showcase what we have to offer.  For eaxample, iPhone 4S by Alex Cequea (iPhone Life Magazine Editor in Chief).

In that article, Alex says that the iPhone 4S has the exact same physical form factor as the iPhone 4. However, the insides are a whole different story, and Apple tried to make that very clear. The most notable improvements are the 8MP camera with 1080p video recording, the A5 dual-core processor (same as the iPad 2), and an improved battery life (8 hours of 3G talk time, 200 hours of standby). As far as the capabilities, the new Siri Assistant feature was the highlight of the show. The Siri Assistant recognizes natural language and can answer questions such as, "What's the temperature out today?" Combined with the phone's GPS, you can say something like, "Remind me to call my wife when I get to work." The Assistant will not only know who your "wife" is, it'll also know where "work" is and pop up a reminder to "call Marcy" when you get there."

Here's another great article, The Best iPhone 4 Cases. This article goes on to explain that like its iPhone predecessors, cases have become one of the most popular ways to accessorize your cell phone. Most cell phone consumers buy a case bundled with their new phone to protect it from day one. And who can blame them? Mobile devices have become hugely valuable and expensive items; you want to protect them the best way you can. There are literally hundreds of cases on the market. Let's examine the different options available on the market to help you choose the one that's right for you.

What to know how to create your own app?  "The first step in creating an app is to understand what you want to create and how you will measure its success. Make sure the idea is well vetted and there is a solid business case behind it. There are roughly 600 new apps submitted to Apple each day—what is going to differentiate your app from the thousands that are already available and being launched each week? Here are some questions you’ll want to ask when getting your app idea..."
