Hurry, Hurry. This app is free for today only. It's normally $1.99. With this app you create a postage stamp for outgoing e-mails with any photo on your device, take a photo in real time, or load a map (think aerial of location from google maps). It is very straight forward and adds fun and originality to your e-mails.
Like millions of you, I have downloaded, enjoyed and even finished all the levels of Angry Birds, at least so far... more levels, please! So what is a user to do? Sure, Chillingo (which EA is buying) has released another Angry Birds version for Halloween and you should definitely get that. And they also released Cut the Rope, another pick-up-and-play game with cute graphics. But it's not the same in terms of controls or even orientation (landscape versus portrait). Fortunately, with any successful app, there are other vendors stepping up to the plate.
I had the opportunity to play the PC version of Mushroom Age briefly at one point, but I actually jumped into it in the middle of the game to pass a section for someone. Now that I’ve had the chance to go back and play it from the beginning on my iPod Touch I’m finding that I really like the game. The story is quirky and keeps you wondering. The characters are amusing, especially when you get to talking to creatures you never thought you’d have a conversation with. The actual meat of the game is a combination of hidden objects, puzzle solving and mini-games. Overall it’s a well rounded package that delivers the goods quite well.
I was pretty shocked that no one has yet blogged here about the latest game app that has taken hold of my kids for the past few days and reportedly ‘sold 1 million apps in 10 days’.
Weather HD is one of those applications that you want on your iPhone, iPad or touch purely for the high-def eye candy, and it's too bad you can't use this app in place of your lock or home screen. The forecasts come from weatherunderground.com, and the app dooesn't do much more than tell you current and forecast weather--no fancy maps, satellite or radar views--but the sky condition animations that accompany the reports are downright cool.
Mani Golf is an interesting game. Some might consider it an overly simple golf game with whacked out courses. Personally, I look at it as a physics puzzle game under the guise of a whacked out golf game. Whatever your perspective is, there’s no question that Mani Golf is fun, crazy and at times quite challenging. You’ll not hear the word “fore” uttered from the main character’s mouth, but be prepared for some zany comments as you attempt to conquer 36 holes on two insane courses.
First off, you have to realize that this study was done by SquareTrade, which sells warranties. That said, their study found that there's an 82% increase in broken screens in the iPhone 4 compared to the iPhone 3GS. Part of the problem is that now there's twice as much surface area to break. Hard to know what to make of this report, but it does suggest a protective case would be good idea.
It seems that browsers are getting alot of attention recently. That may be in part because they have finally come into their own.
Everything iPhone - Apps, Accessories, Reviews, Wallpapers etc | iPhone Life Magazine
The iPhone has become a benchmark for all other smartphones to compete with. Reviews on the cases, accessories, apps, wallpapers and more are located below. Here are a couple of Articles that showcase what we have to offer. For eaxample, iPhone 4S by Alex Cequea (iPhone Life Magazine Editor in Chief).
In that article, Alex says that the iPhone 4S has the exact same physical form factor as the iPhone 4. However, the insides are a whole different story, and Apple tried to make that very clear. The most notable improvements are the 8MP camera with 1080p video recording, the A5 dual-core processor (same as the iPad 2), and an improved battery life (8 hours of 3G talk time, 200 hours of standby). As far as the capabilities, the new Siri Assistant feature was the highlight of the show. The Siri Assistant recognizes natural language and can answer questions such as, "What's the temperature out today?" Combined with the phone's GPS, you can say something like, "Remind me to call my wife when I get to work." The Assistant will not only know who your "wife" is, it'll also know where "work" is and pop up a reminder to "call Marcy" when you get there."
Here's another great article, The Best iPhone 4 Cases. This article goes on to explain that like its iPhone predecessors, cases have become one of the most popular ways to accessorize your cell phone. Most cell phone consumers buy a case bundled with their new phone to protect it from day one. And who can blame them? Mobile devices have become hugely valuable and expensive items; you want to protect them the best way you can. There are literally hundreds of cases on the market. Let's examine the different options available on the market to help you choose the one that's right for you.
What to know how to create your own app? "The first step in creating an app is to understand what you want to create and how you will measure its success. Make sure the idea is well vetted and there is a solid business case behind it. Here are some questions you’ll want to ask when getting your app idea..."
