Erase your iPad's fingerprints and smudges with the iEraser #CES #MadeInUSA

There are a lot of sprays and chemicals designed to eliminate smudges and fingerprints on touchscreen devices, but they have heir drawbacks. If the bottle is too big, you can't carry it on a plane and they run out at the most inopportune times.

Review: Reckless Getaway by Polarbit

image

Generally I prefer my games to have a somewhat compelling set of goals, but there are times when I do enjoy the simple pleasure of mass destruction.  Still, while I figured Reckless Getaway would be fun, I was pretty much expecting it to be a “few minutes here, few minutes there” sort of game.  Turns out I’ve become quite addicted to this little gem.  With it’s over the top… well, everything it feels like you’re in control of a chase scene stolen from a John Woo film.  About the only thing I wish at this point is that there were a variety of cars to choose from, but otherwise it’s a nearly perfect no holds barred racer.

A case for beating cancer thanks to OtterBox #CES

image

If you watched the news lately, you may have seen the uproar when a certain charity with a noble purpose gets involved in politics.  It might make you jaded and give you pause before you make a donation or buy another "pink" item.  So when I saw today's press release from OtterBox, I read it carefully.

Find your iPhone in the dark with the Alter Ego glow in the dark case from M-Edge #CES

image
Have you ever fumbled for your iPhone in the dark? The Alter Ego case from M-Edge is not only brightly colored, but it is made from glow in the dark material that 'recharges' when exposed to light. It's a smart idea that should be standard in more cases.

The Alter Ego has a cool geometric design that takes its styling cues directly from Apple and the opening for the rear facing camera lens and flash.

Apple TV set not likely in April/May, iPhone 5 expected in June

image

As usual, the provenance of the rumors surrounding the appearance of an Apple TV set is the component suppliers in Asia. Bottom line: if the suppliers can't supply the components, the TVs won't be available. Apple apparently wants to offer a state-of-the-art OLED TV, like the ones shown by LG and Samsung at the Consumer Electronics Show. But to offer such a TV, you need to have the parts.

Fat Jump Pro iPhone App Review

image

Fat jump pro is a fun game which has you playing a small green character who starts out at the bottom of the screen, and has to jump from bouncy platform to bouncy platform without falling.  While this does sound like many other games, this one has quite a few different unique additions to the game which have made it quite enjoyable and greatly adds to the length of time it can be enjoyed.

Blippar may be the future of mobile advertising #CES

image
This time of year, people get excited about the Super Bowl, if for nothing else, than the commercials. But still, even the best commercials are one-way and non-interactive. At CES, I got a chance to meet with Blippar, an augmented reality mobile advertising firm.

iOS App Review: Piggies and Woogies: Natural Enemies

Piggy Woogy seems to operate on the premise that match-three games are way too easy and don’t feature enough lupine commandoes with their hearts set on eating you alive.  I have to agree.

Everything iPhone - Apps, Accessories, Reviews, Wallpapers etc | iPhone Life Magazine

The iPhone has become a benchmark for all other smartphones to compete with.  Reviews on the cases, accessories, apps, wallpapers and more are located below.  Here are a couple of Articles that showcase what we have to offer.  For eaxample, iPhone 4S by Alex Cequea (iPhone Life Magazine Editor in Chief).

In that article, Alex says that the iPhone 4S has the exact same physical form factor as the iPhone 4. However, the insides are a whole different story, and Apple tried to make that very clear. The most notable improvements are the 8MP camera with 1080p video recording, the A5 dual-core processor (same as the iPad 2), and an improved battery life (8 hours of 3G talk time, 200 hours of standby). As far as the capabilities, the new Siri Assistant feature was the highlight of the show. The Siri Assistant recognizes natural language and can answer questions such as, "What's the temperature out today?" Combined with the phone's GPS, you can say something like, "Remind me to call my wife when I get to work." The Assistant will not only know who your "wife" is, it'll also know where "work" is and pop up a reminder to "call Marcy" when you get there."

Here's another great article, The Best iPhone 4 Cases. This article goes on to explain that like its iPhone predecessors, cases have become one of the most popular ways to accessorize your cell phone. Most cell phone consumers buy a case bundled with their new phone to protect it from day one. And who can blame them? Mobile devices have become hugely valuable and expensive items; you want to protect them the best way you can. There are literally hundreds of cases on the market. Let's examine the different options available on the market to help you choose the one that's right for you.

What to know how to create your own app?  "The first step in creating an app is to understand what you want to create and how you will measure its success. Make sure the idea is well vetted and there is a solid business case behind it. There are roughly 600 new apps submitted to Apple each day—what is going to differentiate your app from the thousands that are already available and being launched each week? Here are some questions you’ll want to ask when getting your app idea..."
