Review: Sena Folio Case for iPad 1

image

If you recall, I reviewed the Sena Folio with keyboard case for the original iPad back in January. Recently, I have been using the regular Sena Folio case. If you are using an iPad 2, this review should still interest you as Sena has a version of the Folio for that device as well (Although the iPad 2 version seems to have some really nice enhancements made to the stands and where they are placed).

The leather case comes in a cardboard box.

Want Some iPad (1 ) cases for $5.00

In my search for a particular case for one of my devices, I came upon several iPad cases that are being sold, apparently at a clearance rate, by AT&T, online only.  Scroll down the link I provided.

ZombieBooth:

I saw a press release today for an app called "ZombieBooth." This was a little weird because I had downloaded the app earlier  on my non iOS tablet, as that had a camera on it. There is an iOS version also which works on your iPad2, Ipod Touch 4 or your iPhone which have cameras on it.

Basically, you can see what people would be like if they were zombies. These are not just pictures. There is animation involved. It really is pretty freaky, but it's fun.

The press release is below. You can see what the app is all about. The link below is to the free Lite Version. There are paid versions also.

Powis iCase2: Available for Pre-Order for iPad2

Back in January and November, I reviewed a couple of the Powis iCases for the iPad. I will throw the links at the end.

Review: Booq Taipan Slim S

image

Last month I reviewed and tried out the Timbuk2 Freestyle Messenger bag. While I generally liked it, there were a couple things that I was not fond of. The strap being the major one and the iPad insert being the minor one. I have had an opportunity to use the Booq Taipan Slim bag, and while it’s not a true messenger bag, this bag addresses all these issues.

The Taipan is made of nylon, has a water repellant coating and comes in larger sizes also. This bag will fit up to a 13” laptop.

Review: Incase Origami Workstation

image

If you use your Apple Wireless keyboard with your device, this accessory may be of interest to you. The Incase Origami Workstation is a combination case and stand. This case was “Inspired by the Japanese art of paper-folding” and “provides complete protection for your Apple Wireless Keyboard.”

The case itself is pretty light and does not really add any bulk. The material reminds of me of the Official Apple iPad (1) Case, but not as soft. It also gets dirty but cleans off pretty easy.

Scosche freeKEY - Flexible Water Resistant Keyboard

Today, Scosche announced the availability of a new BT keyboard for use with your devices. Check out the video below.

Mophie Juice Pack Air for iPod Touch 4

image

I saw yesterday that Mophie released their Juice Pack Air for the iPod Touch 4. While I do not have the 4th Gen device, I did pick the Juice Pack Air up during the holidays for my Gen 2 iPod Touch. I originally had their first version which was  like a sled. It did not offer full case protection like the Juice Pack Air. I really like this air design as it is essentially a case as well.

Review: Trident Aegis case for iPad

image

This case from Trident is called the Aegis. This case consists of two main pieces. There is a full body silicone layer that your iPad slips into. Then there is a hard outer polycarbonate shell that adds the additional protection to your device. The silicone layer portion around the four corners and on the front bezel is exposed.

Zite: Your Everything Digital Magazine!

image

Back on April 1st, fellow blogger Steve Overton posted about a free news app called Zite. His link is below as it has a great video demo and link to the app store.

I have been using it for a while also and I really like it. The app is easy to set up and use. After a bit, it will actually learn what you like. Steve hit the nail on the head when he said that much of it was "pleasing on the eye." I keep customizing the topics and adding more stuff.
