New iPad Rumors: No Retina Display

Rumors about the new iPad have been running rampant all week. (For a read a review of some these rumors read Jim Karpen's post). The latest rumor, however, is that many of the other rumors are just that - rumors. According to John Gruber of Daring Fireball, the new iPad will not have a higher resolution display but may be improved in other ways.  In a recent blog post Gruber explains:



Apple Quarterly Report: 16.24 Million iPhones Sold

At Apple's it's quarter earnings report , Steve Jobs announced better than expected sales in all iOS devices. Apple sold 16.24 million iPhones, 7.33 million iPads, 4.13 million Macs, and 19.45 million iPods.

Find my Device Service Now Free with iOS 4.2

Apple released the long awaited upgrade to its mobile operating system, iOS 4.2, yesterday. Lost in the excitement of multitasking and folders for iPad are some cool features for the iPhone and iPod Touch. With the release of 4.2 Apple now offers it's find my iPhone (or iPad or iPod Touch) feature for free without a MobileMe account. This service uses GPS to help users find their device if lost or stolen. It also allows users to display a message on their phone or to wipe the phone's data.
