X-Doria Lux: Luxurious and Protective iPhone 6s Cases

We get to review a lot of cases at iPhone Life, so many that it almost becomes routine. But every once in a while a case comes out that resets the playing field. Usually cases are divided into rugged versus fashionable. Not so with the latest Defense Lux ($59.99) from X-Doria. First off, the cases are beautiful. They have buttery leather, carbon fiber, or pillowy cushioned leather, combined with colorful aluminum. That alone would be compelling.

But the Defense Lux lives up to the Defense part of its name, too. The aluminum shell provides a lot of protection and has a very clever twist. The bottom of many rugged devices make them incompatible with some docking stations or cables. But they have included a simple switch on the side that unlatches the bottom so you can plug in any cable or plug your iPhone into any dock, without removing the case. And you won't want to remove the case, it's so luxurious. It's also reasonably priced, and if you sign up on X-Doria's website, you can get an additional discount.

Pros

  • Beautiful color options
  • Luxurious materials
  • Smart locking mechanism
  • Great protection
  • Reasonably priced

Cons

  • Not available for iPhone SE currently

Final Verdict

If you are looking for a case that is luxurious and provides robust protection, the Defense Lux from X-Doria is a great find.
