WRiSTBOOM: Wearable Portable Bluetooth Speaker

WRiSTBOOM: Wearable Portable Bluetooth Speaker

There's a recurring joke in the movie A Low Down Dirty Shame where the main character declares he has to have a theme song that plays as he makes his way around town and throughout the film. The WRiSTBOOM Wearable Wireless Speaker ($39.99) from BiGR AUDIO could be the ideal way to make that happen. While your iPhone is tucked away, the WRiSTBOOM is worn like a watch. It works like any other portable Bluetooth speaker, but it does so in a compact, convenient manner.

I liked the WRiSTBOOM's fun design and found it surprisingly loud. Perhaps it feels even louder because you are wearing it so you feel the bass and vibrations. I also found it to be convenient for working out, as long as your neighbors don't mind. It's available in assorted color choices and there is also a water-resistant version, for $20 more. The built-in microphone means you can use it as a speakerphone. Unfortunately, it uses a proprietary charging cable, which they can replace for $10, so don't lose yours. There are no volume controls on the device, so you use your iOS device to control volume.

Pros

  • Fun design
  • Surprisingly loud
  • Convenient for working out
  • Assorted color choices
  • Microphone built in
  • Water resistant model also available

Cons

  • Proprietary charging cable
  • No volume controls on device

Final Verdict

If you are looking for an accessory, and want one that is unique, functional, and fun, they don't get better than the WRiSTBOOM
