Top 5 Waterproof Cases for iPhone 6/6s

Honestly, I’m not sure why we haven’t seen a waterproof iPhone yet. The latest iPhone 6s is definitely more water resistant than previous models; Apple has got to be close to having the ability to do so. Alas, while we wait for all of our devices to be able to withstand the elements alone, there are lots of great options in iPhone cases for making your device waterproof. Here’s my top five waterproof cases for iPhone 6/6s.

Hitcase PRO ($99.99)

I had chance to test out the Hitcase PRO and have seen it featured on various lists for rugged gear. The Hitcase PRO is water and shockproof. You can also buy different lenses for the case which is great if you like to keep your device dry and your photos top-notch. As with many waterproof cases, there’s a slight delay because of the extra screen but you have full access to all ports. Great extra feature of the Hitcase is the built in mount system.

Akiko Waterproof Case ($8.95)

One of the biggest annoyances with waterproof cases is getting your phone in and out of them. Especially if you only need to keep your iPhone protected on certain occasions, you may want to consider getting a waterproof dry bag instead. You can find dry bags from a large variety of companies, and it’s the most affordable option. Dry bags are perfect for vacations, trips to the beach, and more. Often, they work with various models of phones too - which means when you upgrade you won’t need a new waterproof case.

Catalyst Waterproof Case ($69.99)

Catalyst is revered as having one of the best waterproof cases on the market, likely second only to Lifeproof. It’s submersible up to 16.4 feet and meets military standards for drops up to 6.6 ft. Personally, I like the minimal design of this waterproof case: it appears to only cover the frame of the phone but protects the entire device.

Lifeproof FRĒ ($71.99)

FRĒ by Lifeproof is pretty much the ultimate waterproof case for your iPhone. Not only is it waterproof, but dust, snow, and shock proof as well. The case provides access to all your ports and is nicely slim despite keeping all the elements out. You do need a headphone adapter but Lifeproof provides one with your purchase; it’s also available in multiple color combinations.

Aquatik by Lunatik ($89.95)

The Aquatik by Lunatik is fully water and dust proof. It’s certainly one of the thinnest waterproof designs I’ve seen, and it appears to have a more rounded body than other waterproof cases. Also available in multiple colors, I’ve seen it featured in various publications as a top case for keeping water out of your device.
