Review: SmartPower Multi-Device Charging Station from LAX

Review: SmartPower Multi-Device Charging Station from LAX

I travel a lot and often with three or more gadgets that need charging. There's my iPhone, my iPad, and my Apple Watch. I might also have a Bluetooth headset or speaker. So it's important to me to be able to charge four USB devices and use only one outlet if possible. The SmartPower 4 ($39.99) multi-device charging station from LAX Gadgets is just the ticket, with four Smart IQ ports delivering 6 Amps of power using a single wall outlet. The charger has fold-out prongs, so it's compact when traveling and the vertical design means it takes up relatively little space when in use, so the other wall outlet can also be used.

The SmartPower multi device charging station is available in two or four port configurations and in multiple color choices to match Apple gear, such as Rose Gold, Gold, etc. Keep in mind that the materials are plastic, not metallic like the iPhone itself, so that saves some weight and cost.

LAX Gadgets also offers extra-long cables (10 meters!) with braided fabric that, this time, does include metallic components at both the USB and Lightning ends. Also the compact Lightning cable tip accommodates most cases and docks. Such a long cable is useful, for charging iPads in a car where the USB charge might be in front, when the kids are in the back. It can also come in handy in a hotel room where wall charging options might be far away.

  • Four USB ports
  • Collapsible wall prong
  • Multiple color choices to match Apple
  • Extra long cables with braided fabric
  • Compact cable tip accommodates most cases and docks

Final Verdict

LAX Gadgets offer several items that can make life easier for gadget lovers, especially if you have multiple Apple products.
