Review: Leather Portfolio Integrates iPad for Business in the Tech Era

Thanks to the iPad, the days of paper-based note taking may be coming to an end. But paper is still with us. I find I need to carry a briefcase or portfolio along with my iPad, to classes, business meetings, and more. That's why I need the Business Leather Portfolio ($49) from Sunrise Hitek. First and foremost, it's a quality buttery soft leather portfolio, with a paper notepad, storage for papers, pens, business cards, and more.

But what really sets the Business Leather Portfolio apart is a special flip-out compartment with a solid Velcro surface. Also included are Velcro straps that can be positioned to hold down any iPad or tablet, from an iPad mini to a 12.9-inch iPad Pro. It's a clever, and surprisingly secure, method to keep your iPad in place and protected.

Another nice touch is the external pocket which is large enough to store cables, chargers and more. The portfolio also has two hooks so you can attach the optional ($15) strap or provide your own. The portfolio is only available in black, but that's a reasonable color for business. There's also a presentation stand mode so you can deliver presentations on your iPad. It's quite convenient.

  • Soft buttery leather
  • Reasonably priced
  • Hooks for optional shoulder strap
  • Room for cables, chargers, stylus, etc.
  • Fully adjustable for any tablet

  • One color choice

Final Verdict

If you are want to make an iPad part of your business routine, but also want to be able to carry papers with you, the Business Leather Portfolio from Sunrise Hitek should meet your needs.
