Review: This Travel Charger Really Puts the All in All-In-One

I've used a number of products from Fuse Chicken, like its original Une Bobine charging cable/stand so I was excited when the company sent me its latest gadget, the UNIVERSAL All-In-One Travel Charger ($84.95). I'm all in favor of straightforward product names, but thought "Fuse Chicken" makers of "Une Bobine" would have come up with something a little more subtle! Still, they truly do put the "ALL" in "All-In-One" as this charger has it all.

First, it should work just about everywhere as it includes US, EU, UK and AU travel adapters. And when you are away from an outlet, it includes a respectible 6,700 mAh battery pack, which ought to charge most smartphones twice. The 18 watt output means you can charge a couple of smartphones or maybe a tablet and a phone at the same time, but don't expect to charge your MacBook Pro.

Fuse Chicken

I really like the digital LCD percentage readout. Most battery packs have four LEDs so you have to guess if you are closer to 51percent or 74 percent. You can charge devices via the included USB-A port and USB-C port or even via Qi-based wireless charging! Just keep in mind that it plugs in to the wall vertically. This means wireless charging is impractical while plugged in but you can use a cable, or charge the pack then unplug it and use it horizontally.

Pros

  • US, EU, UK and AU travel adapters
  • 6,700 mAh battery pack
  • Qi-based wireless charging
  • USB-A port and USB-C port
  • Digital LCD readout

Cons

  • Plugs in vertically, so wireless charging is impractical while plugged in

Final Verdict

If you travel the globe and use USB-A, USB-C and Qi devices, be sure to bring along the UNIVERSAL All-In-One Travel Charger from Fuse Chicken.
