What You'll Learn by Watching the Workshop Replay:

We want to make sure you're ready to install Apple's new operating system as soon as it's ready so you can take advantage of all the new, exciting features.

Here’s a summary of what we cover:

  • When is iOS 13 Coming Out? Apple's iPhone event is scheduled for September 10, and we're expecting iOS 13 to be available to the public a week later on September 17. Of course, new iPhones will ship with iOS 13.

  • Sneak Peek of iOS 13: Enjoy a walkthrough of top features, as well as a preview of the content we'll cover in our Ultimate iOS 13 Class, which promises to teach you the new OS front to back.

  • Should you Install iOS 13? Here, we cover device compatibility, as well as common concerns around battery and performance that come along with software updates.

  • Free Up Storage: We recommend clearing at least 5 gigabytes of local storage to make room for iOS 13, and in the workshop we teach you how to do that.

  • Know Your Passcode and Apple ID: You unlock your iPhone using your passcode, and you access all of Apple's services using your Apple ID. Watch this workshop to make sure you have your passcode and Apple ID password memorized, because you'll need them in order to install iOS 13 on your phone.

  • Create a Backup: Learn the pros and cons of iCloud versus iTunes when backing up, and get a walkthrough of how to make a backup of your device.

  • Update to iOS 13: Learn the steps for installing the update on the day of release!

If you have additional questions after viewing the workshop, email us directly or head over to the iPhone Life Facebook group and ask away!
