Inateck Felt iPad Pro Sleeve Feels Luxurious

A question I think everyone has at some point when shopping online is will it look that good in person? Particularly when it comes to fashion items, a picture doesn’t capture the quality of something. When I discovered this iPad Pro and Macbook sleeve by Inateck ($21.99), I fell in love with the picture. After including it in a recent roundup, the company asked me to take a closer look at the product for review.

I was pretty excited to open this package, because immediately I knew the picture hadn’t let me down. What you see is what you get, and what you get is gorgeous. The sleeve is a light gray, made of soft felt with white stitching. The back of the sleeve has two zippered pockets. There is a leather company logo on the front and leather holds for the zipper on the back which makes the gray pop and the sleeve look classy.

It’s held shut with velcro and opens to reveal three rows of velcro tabs for turning the sleeve into a stand. While this feature works, I don’t find it to be the ideal angle or have enough structure to keep my iPad or Laptop securely in place while working. I found it was suited best for viewing a video.

When you open the top sleeve, there is also a pocket ideal for a small notebook or other flat objects. Another concern I had from just viewing the picture, was the internal lining. I was pleasantly surprised to find the lining of the sleeve feels similar to a smooth suede or screen duster cloth and works perfectly for protecting an open screen.

The sleeve also comes with a small, gray felt clutch with elastic closure. It’s the perfect size for a computer mouse, but personally, I could see myself using it as a clutch purse. It fits my smart phone with case, a small wallet or cards, and lip balm easily. It also came with a screen dusting cloth hidden inside. The clutch would also be ideal for carrying charging cords if you don’t want to add bulk to the sleeve by storing it in the back pockets.

Pros:

  • Beautiful design, soft exterior and protective interior lining.

  • Pockets!

  • Fits the iPad Pro and Macbook Air or Pro with a 12.9-13.3 inch screen.

Cons:

  • Not ideal as a stand

  • Back pocket zippers separated only by stitching, which is something to be aware of when filling pockets.

Final Verdict:

The real thing is just as, if not more, gorgeous than the photo. It’s a simple, classy design at a great price.
