Finally, Instagram Lets You Manage Multiple Accounts

Social media managers and obnoxious cat owners, rejoice! As of this week, Instagram has released an update to its app (version 7.15) allowing users to add up to five individual accounts, which they can switch between without ever having to log out and log back in. This is huge, people! Having experienced the frustration firsthand of trying to run an extra account prior to this update, I may or may not have physically jumped for joy upon hearing the news.Of course, for the average user, this update isn’t going to mean much. But if you have multiple accounts (or if, like me, you have one extra account dedicated solely to your “pirate” cat) then you’ll understand just how monumental it is. And it’s super easy to get set up!

To get started, go to the Settings menu under your profile and then scroll down and tap Add Account. From here, you’ll be prompted to enter the username and password of the account you want to add. Your new account will then be added to the app.

To switch between accounts, go back to your profile and tap on your name located at the top of the page. A menu will drop down showing the accounts you’ve added. Tap on the account you want to switch to and voila! You’re all set.
