Discover Nearby Apple Pay Merchants with Pay Finders

Apple introduced us to Apple Pay about a year ago. Since then, Passbook was renamed Wallet and businesses and corporations have slowly been adopting the wireless payment method. Now that it’s plausible to run errands without a card in hand, the challenge is knowing where Apple Pay is accepted. Pay Finders (free) is the app for Apple Pay enthusiasts looking to utilize the NFC technology.

As Apple Pay gains traction, more than just corporations are able to incorporate Apple Pay and other NFC transactions. As small businesses and local merchants join the trend, our Apple Pay options grow. Pay Finders is constantly updating and accepting feedback. Locate where you want to use Apple Pay and rate whether or not it worked within the app. If you discover a place not included, you can add an Apple Pay location to the database. Build a list of your personal favorite places to shop with Apple Pay and get notifications when you are within range of a listed merchant.

My only complaint for the app is that it only searches within 15 miles of your location. Meaning it doesn’t let me take a look at Los Angeles, CA and see where I could use Apple Pay if I were there. The app is ideal for discovering places in your own area that you may not have known accepted Apple Pay.
