Apple TV owners who are also Amazon Prime members, rejoice! You will no longer have to use laggy and unreliable AirPlay in order to stream Amazon Video from your iPhone or iPad to your Apple TV. As first reported by Recode and now confirmed by Buzzfeed, Amazon is finally releasing a native Apple TV Amazon Prime Video app.

When Apple first released the fourth generation Apple TV, Amazon didn't bother to create an Amazon Video app for Apple TV and even stopped selling Apple TVs in 2015. But now, that's about to change. According to Buzzfeed, this is more than a rumor. In fact, an announcement is expected at WWDC 17 with the Amazon video app for Apple TV becoming available later this summer. The Apple TV will presumably be available on Amazon.com once more at that time.
