6 Awesome iPhone 5/5s Cases

Every time Apple releases a new iPhone model, the last gets forgotten in the excitement of new products and accessories. Yet, I recently read that the vast majority of iPhone users still own an active iPhone 5 or 5s. I’ve done lots of roundups for iPhone 6 and 6s cases; I figured it’s time to do one focusing on cases for the iPhone 5/5s. I’ve done my best to include a little something for everyone, from the protective to the high class case.

The Frame Case comes in multiple color variations and protects the rim of the iPhone, hence the name. This is particularly suitable for those who like the look of their bare iPhone and would rather not conceal it but also want good protection. All ports remains accessible with the case as well.

Juice Pack Air by Mophie ($99.95)

If you’re the type of person whose phone is constantly dying on them, which isn’t hard to do when you have the iPhone 5, a Mophie back is a great option. It’s sleek, so as to add minimal bulk to the phone while providing a full extra charge.

Stashback by Incipio ($19.99)

I’ve been using a phone case that has places for my credit cards for about a month now. I’ve gotten so used to it, I’m not sure I can ever go back. Stashback provides full access to ports and gives you a place to carry cards, cash, and I.D. with a back that pops up to provide incase space.

FRĒ by Lifeproof ($71.99)

Easily the best rugged case for iPhone 5/5s, the FRE is waterproof, shockproof, dustproof, and snowproof. The case, although rugged, is also rather sleek and classic looking. There isn’t much bulk added to the phone and Lifeproof is a trusted brand for protecting your iPhone.

SurfacePad by TwelveSouth ($34.99)

That wallet case I said I’ve been using...well, this is it. The SurfacePad isn’t going to offer you much protection, but it’s perfect for daily professionals. There’s no snapping your phone into a case; it’s held in place with patented adhesive that doesn’t leave residue on your phone and can be taken off and reapplied. Marketed as a leather jacket for your iPhone, there’s two internal pockets for credit cards as well.

Tree of Life by Keyway ($25.20)

Proudly made in Canada, these wood cases are gorgeous! This particular case has a Maple tree inlay with a Walnut backing. The wood is attached to a flexible rubber case providing edge protection as well. They’re hand-crafted, laser cut, and ooze class.
